NMSU High School Dance Day:  Sat., Feb. 11, 2017

The New Mexico State University Dance Program would like to invite you and your high school dance students to come to our campus for our HIGH SCHOOL DANCE DAY, Saturday, February 11, 2017.  This event will take place at the NMSU Delameter Activity Center (1600 Stewart Street).

We will be offering a full day of dance classes for your students. Classes will be held from 8:30am-4pm. Classes will include ballet, modern, flamenco, social dance (ballroom, Latin, swing), jazz, hip-hop and tap. All dance instructors are welcome to participate in the classes with their students or observe and take notes. Each class will be 50 minutes in length with a short break between classes.

During these classes we will be holding meeting with high school seniors who are interested in becoming a dance major or dance minor at NMSU.

During the lunch hour, H.S. dance groups are invited to present1-2 dances to share with all participants.  You may bring your lunch or purchase lunch from us.  (See registration form for more details)

The cost for the classes is $25 per student. There is a discount for groups of 10 or more. We extend this invitation because we want to meet our dance educators and our future dancers from New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and surrounding states. We want to build a collaborative relationship with dance studios and schools that offer dance programs.
