This program is specifically designed for students who are interested in pursuing careers in biomedical research or the allied health sciences. The program is ideal for students wishing to pursue careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine and so on. The program offers students opportunities for research experiences and coursework in pathophysiology, neurophysiology, and gerontology.
Other Program Requirements.
In addition to the requirements for degree listed above (see link), students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to stay in the program. It is also recommended that early on in their programs students should identify an area of research interest and a faculty mentor who can guide them in their research. Students are required to perform a 12-credit internship; however, the internship can be in a clinical OR research environment.
