Graduates are prepared to provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences for all students, with the ultimate goal of guiding young people in the process of becoming physically active for a lifetime. The program is designed to assist prospective teachers in learning how to meet individual student’s needs, encourage and support lifetime participation in a variety of physical activities, and utilize the NM State and National Standards for Physical Education.
