Kim O’Connell is the program director for the Athletic Training Program and a College Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology. She has been part of NMSU since 2002 occupying a variety of roles including acting as program director, clinical education coordinator and director of rehabilitation for the athletic training program and clinic, in addition to teaching extensively within the athletic training program and kinesiology department. Kim’s clinical experience includes working in outpatient sports medicine clinics, specialized hand therapy, functional and occupational assessment, and high school and collegiate athletics.
Her areas of contemporary expertise include Clinical Evaluation, Manual Therapy, Therapeutic Interventions and Organization and Administration in athletic training and sports medicine.
