Michael Gregory, MA, LAT, ATC
Biography
Michael Gregory is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Coordinator of Clinical Education for the NMSU Athletic Training Program (ATP). Michael earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training at California State University at Fullerton and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Kinesiology from New Mexico State University. His clinical experience includes working with a variety of traditional sports athletes from youth club sports to professional level athletes. He is also part of the Justin Boots Sports Medicine Team for professional rodeo athletes and is the regional Athletic Trainer for the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association’s Grand Canyon Region. Michael’s clinical and didactic experiences emphasize clinical expertise in the following areas: urgent and emergent care, manual therapies, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. He enjoys helping his students learn in the classroom and apply their clinical skills in their clinical rotations. Michael teaches many courses within the ATP, as well as Anatomy and Physiology I in the Kinesiology department. His goals include establishing the NMSU ATP as a successful master’s program with a wide variety of clinical rotations, including non-traditional sports and the performing arts.
