Peter Smoak

Biography

Pete Smoak is originally from Lafayette, Louisiana, where he received his undergraduate and Master's degrees in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He received his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Northern Colorado and completed his Post-Doctoral training in Islet Biology and Inflammation at Pennigton Biomedical Research Center. Currently, Pete's research focuses on the effects of medicinal, dietary, and botanical interventions as well as exercise interventions on the improvement of pancreatic islets and diabetes.
