Biography

Amy A. Wrightis originally from Lubbock, Texas and holds an MFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She has served as full time faculty and coordinator of the dance programs at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and at Rockford University in Rockford, Illinois, and has worked extensively as a teacher, performer, choreographer, director, light and costume designer, technician, production/stage manager, graphic designer, and filmmakerin dance, musical theatre, and opera.Her choreographic work has been featured in numerous prestigious festivals including The Rockford City Dance Festival, which she founded and curatedwhile in Illinois,Corpus Christi’s Bailando, Dance Chicago, The Elgin Fringe Festival, Chicago’s Going Dutch, Houston’s Venturing Outand The Dance Gathering, the American College Dance Association’s Central Region (Gala Selection), and the 2016 InternationalFestival Fringein Edinburgh, Scotland. Professional performance credits include the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre in Branson, Princess Cruise Line, and Houston’s NobleMotion Dance. Amy is also the founder and Artistic Director of Bad Wolf Dance Theatre.
