Application Procedures 

• Applications for the program open in July each year. Priority admissions deadline is December 15^th followed by rolling admissions until the hard deadline of April 1^st.  The program uses a cohort model with courses beginning in June each year.

• Students should apply to the NMSU MSAT program through ATCAS. Students MUST apply through the ATCAS portal and should not submit an application to NMSU Graduate School until instructed to do so by the NMSU MSAT program. 

• Qualified applicants will be contacted for a videoconference interview. 

Items needed for application 

• All applicants will need to demonstrate a minimum of 50 hours of observation/shadowing with a BOC certified athletic trainer.  Applicants must use this form to record those hours.  This form must be uploaded to the ATCAS portal as part of the admissions process.  
• Three form of recommendation (submitted via ATCAS) 
• Official Transcripts (submitted via ATCAS)
