NMSU researchers recieve Paso del Norte Health Foundation grant for youth activity project

The program, Youth on the Move, is designed to help physical educators learn how to implement an Activist Approach to teaching in their classrooms to better facilitate students’ engagement in physical education. The program is spearheaded by Kimberly Oliver, professor of physical education pedagogy; Raquel Aranda, assistant professor of physical education; and Jackie Beth Shilcutt, a Ph.D student and graduate assistant in the NMSU Department of Kinesiology and Dance. The program received a $204,000 grant from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation to continue over the next year . . continue reading.
